Chill là gì ?
Nếu nó là “chilly pepper” thì nó là quả ớt, nhưng nếu là chilly không, thì lại có nghĩa là “lạnh run người”. Từ “chill” bắt nguồn từ đó trở thành một từ lóng được giới trẻ hiện đại sang tạo ra.
Và từ “chill” này được sử dụng dưới rất nhiều hình thức với ý nghĩa đa dạng. Ví dụ:
Còn khi muốn rủ bạn ra ngoài chơi, thì sẽ nói như thế nào? Rất đơn giản, thay vì nói Let’s hang out! (rất cổ điển), bây giờ chúng ta nói Guys! Let’s chill!
Chill là gì? Những ý nghĩa của Chill
Nếu bạn đang không việc gì quan trọng, chỉ đang lướt mạng, dạo chơi, facebook, vv…, tóm lại là đang thư giãn đầu óc bằng các công việc giải trí bình thường, không có gì đặc biệt lắm, bạn hoàn toàn có thể gói gọn trong một câu trần thuật rằng: I’m just chillin’ . Tại sao là chillin’ mà không phải chilling nhỉ? Vì trong ngôn ngữ lóng, họ thường thích lược bớt chữ g cho nó phong cách , hay cũng trong ngôn ngữ của giới trẻ, gọi là “cool”.

Còn khi gặp một anh chàng rất “cool” (rất ngầu, rất phong cách), ta hoàn toàn có thể che miệng và nói: Woa! He is chill!
Chill out là gì?
Nó cũng na ná từ relax (thư giãn đi, thoải mái lên nào). Ví dụ: khi bạn đang tức giận, muốn phát hỏa, bạn của bạn vỗ vai và nói: “Hey man/girl! Chill out!”, tức là người ta muốn khuyên bạn bình tĩnh lại nào, “nguội” lại nào đấy.
